MISSION STATEMENT

Precious Kargo was founded in 2020 by Kamela Young, who was blessed with the opportunity to care for her mother and father during their final days. In 2017, she also gave birth to micro-preemie twins weighing approximately one-half pound and one pound. One twin underwent heart surgery at just three days old, while the other required a tracheotomy, feeding tube, and ventilator to survive. Kamela learned how to manage the medical equipment and provide constant care, assisting both children with thriving today. In 2021, she again cared for her mother and father, experiences that deepened her resilience, compassion, empathy, and commitment to older adults. These meaningful caregiving experiences inspired Precious Kargo, a family centered, family-owned, and family-operated company that provides non-medical support, companionship, medication reminders, daily routine assistance, dressing support, light housekeeping, errands, and care coordination while honoring the dignity of every older adult and supporting the families who love them.
